A walk-off solo home run from Jose Vargas brought home the winning run for the Traverse City Beach Bums (36-24) in a 6-5 victory over the Normal CornBelters in 10 innings at Wuerfel Park on Wednesday.

Vargas had three extra-base hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He doubled in the fourth and fifth innings and homered in the tenth inning.

Andrew Brockett recorded his third win of the year for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Brockett struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Cole Brocker (2-1) took the loss for the Normal CornBelters (34-28). He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed one run.

The Traverse City Beach Bums were sparked by Brandon Jacobs and Vargas, who teamed up for four hits and five RBIs.
