Early lead gives the Windy City ThunderBolts easy victory over the Rockford Aviators, 10-2

The Windy City ThunderBolts (24-36) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Rockford Aviators (35-25), recording a 10-2 victory on Tuesday at Aviator Stadium.

With five runs in the first three innings, the Windy City ThunderBolts left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A double by Max White, a single by Cody Keefer, an RBI single by Ransom LaLonde, an error, , a sacrifice fly by Coco Johnson, and a single by Mike Torres in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Windy City ThunderBolts.

Austin Gallagher reached base three times in the game for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He homered in the sixth inning.

The Windy City ThunderBolts relied on Danny Jimenez to eat up innings en route to the win. Jimenez allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Rockford Aviators' Nick Grim dominated the Windy City ThunderBolts' batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.

Kyle Allen was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
