An ace performance by Ian MacDougall led the Traverse City Beach Bums (34-24) to a 2-0 win over the Lake Erie Crushers (25-32) on Sunday at All Pro Freight Stadium.

MacDougall held the Lake Erie Crushers scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up three.

A bright spot for the Lake Erie Crushers in the defeat was Hunter Adkins, who allowed only zero runs while striking out seven.

Ladgie Zotkya (0-1) took the loss for the Lake Erie Crushers. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
