Vincent Molesky held the Normal CornBelters (33-25) scoreless for seven innings to boost the Gateway Grizzlies (21-36) to a 3-2 victory.

Molesky struck out five and allowed two walks and five hits.

Richard Seigel did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Gateway Grizzlies, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning.

The Normal CornBelters were led by Jason Merjano's hitting. Merjano went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the third, eighth, and ninth innings.

Scott Harkin improved to 2-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. He allowed two runs over one inning. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Race Parmenter was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
