The Joliet Slammers (23-33) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring four runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 16-2 win over the Normal CornBelters (32-24) at The Corn Crib.

Garza racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Joliet Slammers.

Andrew Strenge brought the heat against the Normal CornBelters during his outing. The Normal CornBelters managed just two hits off of Strenge, who allowed two earned runs, walked two and struck out six during his seven innings of work.

Mark Micowski led the Normal CornBelters' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He tripled in the sixth inning.

Kevin Brahney ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.
