An impressive effort by Will Oliver carried the Evansville Otters (45-39) to a 6-0 win over the Traverse City Beach Bums (49-33) on Tuesday at Wuerfel Park.
Oliver held the Traverse City Beach Bums scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up nine.
The Evansville Otters blew out the Traverse City Beach Bums thanks to 11 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Evansville Otters scored three runs in the seventh on the Evansville Otters scored in the seventh on an error, a sacrifice fly by Dane Phillips, and an RBI single by Chris Sweeney.
