Yazy Arbelo went 2-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Traverse City Beach Bums (32-19) to a 4-1 victory over the Florence Freedom (25-28) on Saturday at Wuerfel Park.

Luis DeJesus baffled the Florence Freedom, striking out eight batters. DeJesus allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk over seven innings.

Collins Cuthrell was hot from the plate for the Florence Freedom. Cuthrell went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.

Chuck Ghysels improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Chuck Weaver ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
