Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Evansville Otters (41-19) outscored the Joliet Slammers (24-36) 9-8.

The two teams combined for 25 hits in the game.

Cory Urquhart racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Evansville Otters. He homered in the fifth inning.

Efrain Nieves improved to 8-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Evansville Otters. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered nine hits.

Kevin Walter couldn't get it done on the mound for the Joliet Slammers, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out five.
