Collins Cuthrell went 2-4 as the Florence Freedom (25-27) took home a 4-1 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (31-19) at Wuerfel Park on Friday.

Cody Gray struck out nine, paving the way for a the Florence Freedom win. The Florence Freedom's pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only two hits.

Brandon Jacobs put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the second inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and homered in the ninth inning.

Michael Shreves (5-1) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
