The Windy City ThunderBolts (17-27) beat the Washington Wild Things (19-27) 5-2 on Tuesday at Standard Bank Stadium behind Coco Johnson, who went 2-3.

Zak Wasserman pitched lights out for the Windy City ThunderBolts. The Washington Wild Things managed just three hits off of the the Windy City ThunderBolts' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out three during his six innings of work.

Kyle Helisek showed a good ability to locate the strike zone, allowing no walks. The Washington Wild Things' pitcher pitched five innings, allowing no earned runs and five hits while striking out two.

Chris DeBoo improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts. DeBoo struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Tim Giel (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
