The Joliet Slammers (20-25) and the Washington Wild Things (19-26) each put runners in scoring position on Sunday, but the Joliet Slammers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 7-5 win at CONSOL Energy Park.

Phillip Bates racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Joliet Slammers. He singled in the fifth and ninth innings.

David Popkins did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Washington Wild Things, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning.
