Devon Rodriguez collected three hits as the Rockford Aviators (24-11) took home a 9-4 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (12-25) at GCS Ballpark on Friday.

Rolando Gomez did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Gateway Grizzlies, reaching base three times. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Payton Baskette recorded his first win of the year for the Rockford Aviators. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered five hits.

Troy Barton (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
