A four-run explosion in the fifth inning spurred the Frontier Greys (24-25) to a 7-1 win over the Evansville Otters at Bosse Field on Thursday.
The Frontier Greys scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Scott Carcaise, a two-run double by Dillon Haupt, and an RBI single by Jose Sermo.
Julio Rodriguez racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Frontier Greys. He homered in the third inning.
Jordan Kraus racked up seven strikeouts in the the Frontier Greys win. Kraus allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Efrain Nieves (8-2) took the loss for the Evansville Otters (34-18). He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.
