The Joliet Slammers make the most of 7 hits in 5-3 victory over the Schaumburg Boomers

The Joliet Slammers (14-21) and the Schaumburg Boomers (15-20) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the Joliet Slammers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-3 win at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

Charlie White had a hot bat for the Joliet Slammers. White went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Navery Moore had an impressive outing against the Schaumburg Boomers' lineup. Moore held the Schaumburg Boomers hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

The Joliet Slammers couldn't get anything going as long as Brandon Bargas was pitching. Bargas held the Joliet Slammers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Andrew Strenge improved to 4-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Joliet Slammers. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Brett Mabry (2-2) took the loss for the Schaumburg Boomers. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
