Jose Vargas racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Michael Shreves had an impressive outing against the Southern Illinois Miners' lineup. The Southern Illinois Miners managed just one hit off of the the Traverse City Beach Bums' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his five innings of work.

Niko Vasquez racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Southern Illinois Miners. He homered in the third inning.

Matt Bywater (6-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked two and struck out three.
