Chris Carmain held the Lake Erie Crushers (10-18) scoreless for seven innings to boost the Normal CornBelters (17-13) to a 9-0 victory.

Carmain struck out three and allowed five walks and one hit.

The Normal CornBelters continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The Normal CornBelters scored three runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win. The Normal CornBelters scored four runs in the fourth on the Normal CornBelters scored in the fourth on a solo home run by Richard Lucas, a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Mark Micowski, and an RBI single by Micowski.

Lucas was hot from the plate for the Normal CornBelters. Lucas went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs.

Hunter Adkins was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked one and struck out four.
