The Schaumburg Boomers (14-16) and the Frontier Greys (12-16) both had scoring chances on Thursday, but it was the Schaumburg Boomers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-3 win at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium.
Joel Hutter racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
Brandon Bargas pitched lights out for the Schaumburg Boomers. Bargas held the Frontier Greys hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Justin DAlessandro (2-4) took the loss for the Frontier Greys. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
