The Schaumburg Boomers (14-16) put in a full day's work in a 12-inning, 9-7 win over the Florence Freedom (12-18) Sunday at UC Health Stadium.

With the score tied at seven in the twelfth inning,, bringing home Alexi Colon.

Craig Massey racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He singled in the first and fourth innings and homered in the eleventh inning.

Daniel Fraga had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the third, eleventh, and twelfth innings.

Hideyoshi Otake got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed three runs over 3 1/3 innings. Otake struck out two, walked none and gave up five hits.

Ed Kohout couldn't get it done on the hill for the Florence Freedom, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
