Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the Frontier Greys (13-16) outscored the Southern Illinois Miners (20-11) 9-8.

Zach Tanner had three extra-base hits for the Frontier Greys. He doubled in the first and fourth innings and tripled in the ninth inning.
Steve Marino led the Southern Illinois Miners' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the second and sixth innings.
Andrew Wellwerts improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Frontier Greys. Wellwerts struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.
Alan Oaks couldn't get it done on the hill for the Southern Illinois Miners, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
The Frontier Greys' Jhiomar Veras, Tanner and Brandon Tierney combined for seven hits and six RBIs.
