The Windy City ThunderBolts (5-13) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 5-3 ballgame against the Rockford Aviators (15-4) on Friday at Standard Bank Stadium.

A sacrifice fly by Michael Hur gave the Rockford Aviators the lead in the seventh inning.

Kyle Hassna racked up seven strikeouts in the the Rockford Aviators win. Hassna allowed three earned runs on six hits and no walks over seven innings.

Despite the loss, the Windy City ThunderBolts' James Ferguson dominated the Rockford Aviators' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Joel Lima (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
