The Gateway Grizzlies (5-14) took down the Evansville Otters 13-3 on Thursday at Bosse Field after slamming the Evansville Otters (12-6) with seven runs in the eighth inning.

The Gateway Grizzlies scored in the eighth on a solo home run by Rolando Gomez, , a hit by pitch, a hit by pitch, a hit by pitch, and a single by Ryan Soares.

Soares racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Gateway Grizzlies.

John Schultz had two extra-base hits for the Evansville Otters. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Vincent Molesky improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Preston Olson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
