C.J. Beatty went 2-3 as the Washington Wild Things (5-8) took home a 7-4 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (4-10) at GCS Ballpark on Friday.
He singled in the fourth and fifth innings.Ben Waldrip racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He singled in the first innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
Tim Flight recorded his second win of the year for the Washington Wild Things. He allowed three runs over five innings. Flight struck out seven, walked three and gave up five hits.
Dejai Oliver ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out three.
