Kyle Helisek held the River City Rascals (5-7) scoreless for eight innings to boost the Washington Wild Things (4-8) to a 4-0 victory.

Helisek allowed six hits, one walk and struck out six.

Austin Wobrock got a hit in each of his three at bats. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Brian Hansen went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the River City Rascals. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.

Marc Rutledge (1-2) took the loss for the River City Rascals. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out six, and allowed four runs.

The Washington Wild Things were sparked by Wobrock and Daniel Poma, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.
