A walk-off solo blast from Ty Nelson brought home the winning run for the Lake Erie Crushers (5-6) in a 5-4 victory over the Evansville Otters (8-3) in 10 innings at All Pro Freight Stadium on Wednesday.
Nelson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lake Erie Crushers. He singled in the eighth inning and homered in the tenth inning.
Chris Sweeney blasted two home runs for the Evansville Otters. Sweeney went 3-5 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Sweeney homered in the second and sixth innings.
Kolby Moore got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Connor Little was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
