The Normal CornBelters outdone by Wobrock and the Washington Wild Things, 3-2

Austin Wobrock collected three hits, sparking the Washington Wild Things (2-7) to a 3-2 victory over the Normal CornBelters (5-4) on Sunday at The Corn Crib.

He singled in the fourth, sixth, and ninth innings.

Richie Mirowski put together a nice outing. Mirowski held the Normal CornBelters hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Race Parmenter had an impressive outing against the Washington Wild Things' lineup. The Washington Wild Things managed just two hits off of Parmenter, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Tim Flight got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Victor Beriguete was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed one run.
