An excellent effort by Coleman Stephens carried the Florence Freedom (4-0) to a 5-1 win over the Frontier Greys on Tuesday at UC Health Stadium.
Stephens kept the Frontier Greys (0-3) off the board during his eight innings of work. Stephens struck out seven and allowed one walk and three hits.
Jake Luce did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Florence Freedom, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Justin DAlessandro was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked six, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
