The Evansville Otters need extra frames to finish the Washington Wild Things, win 7-6

The Evansville Otters (2-2) took home a marathon 7-6 victory over the Washington Wild Things (1-3) on Tuesday at CONSOL Energy Park.

With the score tied at five, Chris Sweeney came to the plate and singled, plating John Schultz.

Josh Allen racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Evansville Otters. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth and tenth innings.

The Washington Wild Things couldn't get anything going so long as Connor Little was on the hill. The Washington Wild Things managed just one hit off of the the Evansville Otters' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Blake Monar recorded his first win of the year for the Evansville Otters. Monar struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Pat Butler couldn't get it done on the bump for the Washington Wild Things, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
