Zachary Muenster collected three hits, sparking the Nevada Big Horns (22-21) to a 6-3 victory over the West Coast Kings on Thursday at Golden Eagle Park.
He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.The West Coast Kings had no answer for Jake Chambers, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The West Coast Kings managed just three hits off of Chambers, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his four innings of work.
Wyatt Forman had two extra-base hits for the West Coast Kings. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth and eighth innings.
Brett Minnick improved to 5-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Nevada Big Horns. He allowed three runs over five innings. Minnick struck out three, walked three and gave up six hits.
Jack Stinn (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in eight innings, walked six and struck out six.
