Jake Chambers had two extra base hits as the Nevada Big Horns (19-20) took home a 6-5 victory over the Sacramento Heat (20-21) in seven innings at Golden Eagle Park on Sunday.
He doubled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.Brett Minnick pitched lights out for the Nevada Big Horns. The Sacramento Heat managed just three hits off of Minnick, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out three during his six innings of work.
Daniel Page improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Nevada Big Horns. He allowed one run over one inning. Page struck out none, walked one and gave up two hits.
Chris Moreno couldn't get it done on the bump for the Sacramento Heat, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out two.
