Peter Nyznyk kept the Nevada Big Horns (14-18) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Alameda Merchants (21-13) beat the Nevada Big Horns, 6-0.

Nyznyk allowed three hits, three walks and struck out seven.

Everything was working at the plate for the the Alameda Merchants in the third. In the inning the Alameda Merchants scored four runs. The Alameda Merchants scored in the third on an RBI single by Spencer Erdman, a fielder's choice, and an RBI single by Brian Poupore.

Chris Williams was hot from the plate for the Alameda Merchants. Williams went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Jake Chambers (2-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
