The Alameda Merchants (6-10) pounded the Nevada Big Horns (8-9) on Saturday 12-3 at College of Alameda.
A three-run home run by Christian Leung delivered the runs in the eighth. The Alameda Merchants had one hit in the inning.
Spencer Erdman got a hit in each of his three at bats. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.
Anthony Olmo picked up the win for the Alameda Merchants. Olmo pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out four.
Jake Sheley (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in six innings, walked two and struck out two.
The Alameda Merchants' Marcus Williams, Leung and Erdman combined for seven hits and six RBIs.
