Knudson stars as the Top Speed Baseball defeat the Nevada Big Horns, 9-3

An impressive effort by Steven Knudson carried the Top Speed Baseball (6-0) to a 9-3 win in eight innings over the Nevada Big Horns (0-4) on Sunday at Golden Eagle Park.

Knudson rocked the Nevada Big Horns with two home runs. Knudson went 3-3 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Knudson homered in the fourth and seventh innings.

The Top Speed Baseball blew out the Nevada Big Horns thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Top Speed Baseball scored four runs in the first on the Top Speed Baseball scored in the first on a groundout by Vincent Rodriguez, an RBI double by Knudson, and a two-run home run by Chris Miguel.

The Nevada Big Horns had no answer for Jordan Kurokawa, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Kurokawa gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Jake Sheley (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked none and struck out one.
