The Butler BlueSox (33-26) and the Richmond RiverRats (22-35) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Butler BlueSox that eventually took advantage of them in an 8-5 win at Kelly Auto Park.

Cameron Balego racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Butler BlueSox. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.

Cody Begovich had two extra-base hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He singled in the first inning, homered in the fifth inning, and doubled in the seventh inning.

Carter Krick recorded his first win of the year for the Butler BlueSox. Krick struck out none, walked two and gave up two hits.

Cory Renois couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Richmond RiverRats, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
