It took 10 innings, but the Kokomo Jackrabbits (29-30) managed to put away the Jamestown Jammers (27-32) 6-4 on Sunday at Diethrick Park.
With the score tied at four in the tenth inning, Blake Molitor came to the plate and homered, plating CJ Price.
Molitor put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. He doubled in the eighth inning and homered in the tenth inning.
Mark Zimmerman handled the Jamestown Jammers' lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Zimmerman allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks over six innings.
Patrick Dayton got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Cam Knott couldn't get it done on the mound for the Jamestown Jammers, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
The Kokomo Jackrabbits were sparked by Brody Andrews and Molitor, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.
