The Butler BlueSox make the most of 10 hits in 7-4 victory over the Champion City Kings

The Butler BlueSox (29-25) and the Champion City Kings (22-31) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Butler BlueSox that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-4 win at Kelly Auto Park.

David Marcus racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Butler BlueSox. He homered in the eighth inning.

The Champion City Kings had no answer for Jamie Switalski, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Switalski held the Champion City Kings hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Matt Gordon improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Butler BlueSox. He allowed three runs over six innings. Gordon struck out seven, walked one and gave up nine hits.

Trent Armstrong couldn't get it done on the bump for the Champion City Kings, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 7 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.
