The Chillicothe Paints get late runs to finish off the Jamestown Jammers, 10-4

The Chillicothe Paints (29-18) jumped out to an early lead on the Jamestown Jammers (24-23) and captured a 10-4 victory on Friday at VA Memorial Stadium.

With five runs in the first three innings, the Chillicothe Paints left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Ryan Callahan during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Chillicothe Paints.

Callahan racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Chillicothe Paints.

The Chillicothe Paints had no answer for Nicholas Tobias, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Tobias held the Chillicothe Paints hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Jake Shields improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Chillicothe Paints. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Jake Swiech (1-4) took the loss for the Jamestown Jammers. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
