An excellent effort by Cory Craig carried the Richmond RiverRats (15-29) to a 7-0 win over the Butler BlueSox (25-21) on Thursday at Kelly Auto Park.

Craig held the Butler BlueSox scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on seven hits while striking out six.

The biggest inning for the Richmond RiverRats was the third. In the inning the Richmond RiverRats scored six runs. The Richmond RiverRats scored in the third on a hit by pitch, an RBI single by Joba Ferrell, a two-run single by Brian Hakes, and a solo home run by Cody Begovich.

Hakes racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Richmond RiverRats.

Andre Jones was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked two and struck out one.
