Brett Charbonneau went 2-4 as the Springfield Sliders (20-21) took home a 5-2 victory over the West Virginia Miners (25-16) at Robin Roberts Field on Friday.
He singled in the second and fourth innings.The Springfield Sliders relied on Tanner Lupton to eat up innings en route to the win. Lupton pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks while striking out four.
Calvin Coker was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
