Greg Popylisen went 2-3, sparking the Terre Haute Rex (24-8) to a 3-2 victory over the Hannibal Cavemen (7-21) on Friday at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad.

Jeremy Randolph pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and three walks while striking out four.

Despite the loss, the Hannibal Cavemen's Sam Cottingham-Beard dominated the Terre Haute Rex's batters, giving up one run and striking out seven.

Jake Sprinkle improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Terre Haute Rex. Sprinkle struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

DJ Hickey (0-2) took the loss for the Hannibal Cavemen. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
