The Chillicothe Paints (15-13) beat the Jamestown Jammers (19-10) 4-1 on Sunday at VA Memorial Stadium behind Chad Roskelly, who went 2-3.
He singled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.John Havird brought the heat against the Jamestown Jammers during his outing. The Jamestown Jammers managed just one hit off of Havird, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.
Pat Mace was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Chillicothe Paints batters and allowing two runs.
Nick Vehlewald put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Jamestown Jammers. He doubled in the third inning and tripled in the fifth inning.
Mace was charged with his second loss of the year.
