The Butler BlueSox (12-14) and the Terre Haute Rex (20-6) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Butler BlueSox capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-2 win at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad.

David Marcus had two extra-base hits for the Butler BlueSox. He doubled in the third and seventh innings.

Josh Wilson paced the Terre Haute Rex at the plate. Wilson went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.

Connor Coward improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Butler BlueSox. He allowed two runs over six innings. Coward struck out one, walked two and gave up nine hits.

Matt Weissheier couldn't get it done on the bump for the Terre Haute Rex, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
