Troy Paris paced the Richmond RiverRats at the plate. Paris went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first, fourth, and fifth innings.
Brian Mroz put together a nice outing. The Champion City Kings managed just two hits off of Mroz, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.
The Champion City Kings' Lee Sponseller was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He singled in the second, sixth, and eighth innings.
Sam Burton improved to 1-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Richmond RiverRats. He allowed three runs over five innings. Burton struck out five, walked three and gave up seven hits.
Evan DeCovich (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
