Matt Anderson hopes every outing could go as well as Wednesday, as Anderson struck out 10 batters to carry the West Virginia Miners (11-8) to a 2-1 victory over the Jamestown Jammers (13-5) at Diethrick Park.

The West Virginia Miners were led by a flawless day at the dish by Zach Sterry, who went 2-2 against the Jamestown Jammers' pitching. He doubled in the second inning.

Despite the loss, the Jamestown Jammers' Adam Reuss dominated the West Virginia Miners' batters, giving up one run and striking out five.

Hunter Jobe (2-2) took the loss for the Jamestown Jammers. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
