Both the West Virginia Miners (10-7) and the Richmond RiverRats (5-11) put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the West Virginia Miners that were able to take advantage, pulling out an 8-6 win at McBride Stadium.

Justin Paul racked up two RBIs on four hits for the West Virginia Miners. He singled in the second, third, seventh, and eighth innings.

James Doubet put together a nice outing. Doubet held the Richmond RiverRats hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Aiden McMahan racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the first, second, and eighth innings.

Joshua Falbo recorded his first win of the year for the West Virginia Miners. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Cory Craig couldn't get it done on the mound for the Richmond RiverRats, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
