The Jamestown Jammers outlast the Danville Dans in extras, 6-4

The Jamestown Jammers (11-4) took home a marathon 6-4 victory over the Danville Dans (7-8) on Saturday at Danville Stadium.

With the score tied at four in the eleventh inning, Curtis Olvey came to the plate and doubled, scoring David Goggin and Eric Solberg.

Goggin racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Jamestown Jammers. He singled in the fourth, sixth, eighth, and eleventh innings.

The Danville Dans had no answer for Hunter Jobe, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Danville Dans managed just three hits off of Jobe, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Logan Steinberg was hot from the plate for the Danville Dans. Steinberg went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Brian Allec (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
