Tyler Oglesby hopes every outing could go as well as Friday, as Oglesby threw 6 2/3 scoreless innings to carry the West Virginia Miners (9-6) to a 4-3 victory over the Hannibal Cavemen (3-11) at Linda K. Epling Stadium.

Justin Paul boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the West Virginia Miners. He singled in the first, third, and sixth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Jake Eikleberry allowed two earned runs, seven hits and no walks while striking out one over seven innings of work.

James Doubet got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed one run over two-thirds of an inning. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Stefan Miladinovich couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Hannibal Cavemen, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
