An outstanding effort by Samuel Higgs spurred the Terre Haute Rex (14-1) to a 3-1 win over the Danville Dans (7-7) on Friday at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad.

Higgs struck out 11 hitters en route to the the Terre Haute Rex win. Higgs allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks over nine innings.

Ricardo Ramirez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Terre Haute Rex. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the third inning.

Michael McCormick (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
