The Champion City Kings (4-6) and the Butler BlueSox (5-6) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Champion City Kings that eventually took advantage of them in a 4-3 win at Davidson Stadium.

Eric Peterson had a hot bat for the Champion City Kings. Peterson went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.

Jamie Switalski reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth and eighth innings.

David Lemasters improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Champion City Kings. Lemasters struck out three, walked none and gave up three hits.

Cody Jackson (1-1) took the loss for the Butler BlueSox. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
