A walk-off single from Jake Busiek brought home the winning run for the Quincy Gems (3-6) in a 10-9 victory over the Hannibal Cavemen at Quincy Stadium on Friday.

Busiek was hot from the plate for the Quincy Gems. Busiek went 0-0 and scored one run. He singled in the ninth inning.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 19 total runs and 29 hits during the game. Managers of the two teams seemingly emptied their bullpens in search of the win, as there were nine pitchers used in the game.

Toran Shahidi racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Quincy Gems. He singled in the third, seventh, and ninth innings.

Anthony Villa improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Quincy Gems. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered no hits.

Brendan Kleekamp couldn't get it done on the hill for the Hannibal Cavemen (1-8), taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
