The Jamestown Jammers (5-1) beat the Richmond RiverRats (2-5) 10-5 on Wednesday at McBride Stadium behind Vinny Mallaro, who had two extra base hits.

He homered in the second inning, singled in the first and fourth innings, and doubled in the ninth inning.

Kenny Hostrander racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He singled in the second, fourth, and seventh innings.

Adam Reuss got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over five innings. Reuss struck out seven, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Jonathan Figueroa was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked two and struck out three.

The Jamestown Jammers' Mallaro, Austin Alonge, Tre Gantt and Eric Solberg combined for 13 hits and seven RBIs.
